The difference between the spaces owned by today’s large retailers and those held by the old ones consists perhaps in a societal change, a multicultural integration and new consumption patterns. A society quick in changing ideas or at least in transforming them. For example food, a sector in which customers shall be aware of the origin, the introduction of zero-km products and the boom of vegan food. Or ethnic and Asian specialties combined within a unique selling space yet standing out and equally highlighted, where customers can find the products that suit them best and choose with ease. To facilitate that, large retailers has endeavoured to introduce as much diversification as possible. Where supply tries to facilitate customers with dedicated spaces rich in products. Technology has long been a key factor within the retail trade too facilitating customers’ choices in the selection of products, costs estimates and payments at automatic cashiers. All these elements forced designers of commercial premises to study new organizational and distribution solutions concerning logistics by radically changing the design layout compared with the past.

SOSETE’S designers, coming from the GDO sector, meet the classical requests coming from sector-based clients: Quickness.
